Supporting FARM Orthopedics
Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities
Creating public awareness of available medical products, techniques, professionals, education and research is an expensive undertaking. This is, however, what FARM Orthopedics does, and to deliver information to the public, we need your support.
What distinguishes FARM Orthopedics is its focus on the consumer and what he or she needs to know when faced with implant surgery. To this end, FARM seeks assistance worldwide from corporate manufacturers of orthopedic products, and corporations whose purposes can be enhanced by affiliation with FARM Orthopedics and its contact with consumers. FARM Orthopedics is in essence an “equal opportunity” foundation, offering participation in the BoneSmart® web site to all organizations that share FARM’s vision of improving the lives of people with orthopedic disabilities.
It is FARM’s intention to create a consortium of companies in the international community that will fund FARM’s projects, grants and of course, the BoneSmart® web site. Corporate donors may expect their company logos or trademarks to appear on the BoneSmart® web site, and be linked directly to their own web sites. FARM’s web site, its correspondence, functions and newsletters all can carry these company imprimaturs.

Special Events
Throughout the year FARM Orthopedics plans and hosts Special Events in which we make additional one-time support opportunities available, such as hosting events, and providing signage and special ads in our print and on-line publications. One-time gifts are also welcome and encouraged. All donations will be publicly acknowledged unless instructed otherwise. FARM Orthopedics is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) corporation. All donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be issued.
One Time Donations
You can join us to enhance research for the betterment of prosthetic material for implant surgery by making a contribution of $25, $100, $1000 or whatever you can afford to support our work at the Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc. You can make a donation online with a credit card using our secure Click and Pledge Service. Or, if you prefer, you may make a donation by calling (760) 770-3286 or mail it in to FARM Orthopedics, 35741 Paseo Circulo East, Cathedral City, CA 92234. Donations can be made in honor of someone. A special card will be sent to them or their family in recognition of your gift.
Gifts of Stock
Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock via a direct transfer. Giving a gift of publicly traded stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year may provide greater tax benefits than giving cash. Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock and you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. If you would like to invest in FARM Orthopedics by donating stock, please call (760) 770-3286.
Schedule an appointment for a no obligation financial analysis in your area with a MassMutual Financial Services Representative, an organization with $234 Billion in assets under management. An arrangement has been made with representatives of this 150 year-old company to help financially support the foundation. Please call FARM Orthopedics at (760) 770-3286 for an associate in the United States.
Planned Gifts
Deferred or planned gifts enable the Foundation to plan for the future because they will be realized at some later date. You can make a planned gift by naming FARM Orthopedics as a beneficiary in your will or by naming FARM Orthopedics as owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. A gift of life insurance entitles you to a tax deduction.
Bequests
One of the easiest ways to make a gift to FARM Orthopedics is by leaving the Foundation a bequest in your Will. There are several ways you can do this. You can (1) give a specific amount of money to FARM Orthopedics; (2) give a specific item of property to FARM Orthopedics; or (3) give a specified percentage of the residue of your estate to FARM Orthopedics (the residue of your estate is that which is left over after all specific gifts have been made, whether charitable or non-charitable). Since we cannot predict future medical advances, we recommend that your bequest be for unrestricted purposes or be directed generally to research.
The following simple language can be used to make your gift.
"I give and devise to The Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc., or its successor, the sum of _________ Dollars ($_________) to be used for such charitable purposes as the governing body of The Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc. deems appropriate; provided, however, that at the time of such gift, The Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc., or its successor, must be a charity as described in Sections 170(c) and 2055(a) of the Internal Revenue Code."
"I give and devise ________ percent (________%) of my residuary estate to The Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc., or its successor, to be used for such charitable purposes as the governing body of The Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc. deems appropriate; provided, however, that at the time of such gift, The Foundation for the Advancement in Research in Medicine, Inc., or its successor, must be a charity as described in Sections 170(c) and 2055(a) of the Internal Revenue Code."
A bequest may be included in the body of a will or as an amendment (codicil). Gifts made through a bequest typically provide an estate tax deduction. FARM Orthopedics deeply appreciates all gifts regardless of size. For more information on how to make a donation to FARMOrthopedics, please contact us.
Always consult with your estate planning representative, tax advisor or attorney for more information on how you may benefit by making a charitable donation to FARMOrthopedics. Disclosure information is available.
